New Motorhomes are the ultimate way to travel. You can go where you want, be spontaneous and see as much of the countryside as you desire. You can even backtrack and visit a place again. No worrying about meeting tour schedules or the bus leaving without you. No having to make reservations at B&B’s or hotels or being locked into an itinerary.  Sounds great, doesn’t it?

Not so fast. You need to look before you buy.  Campervans Motorhomes sales offers a huge variety of motorhomes from which you can choose.  It all depends on your comfort needs and how many people will be traveling with you. The nice thing about upgrading from a trailer to a motorhome is that people can ride in the motorhome and do what they want. They can sleep, watch a DVD, cook, or read, unless they are driving of course!  With a trailer, no one is allowed to be in it when it is moving.   So that means more people can travel in comfort. It also may mean you’ll need a larger RV!

New Motorhomes usually come with a complete, although compact, kitchen and bath. They have water heaters and water tank storage. LP gas and battery operated electricity is common.  Most have bench seating during the day that can convert to extra sleeping at night. Some have private bedrooms. You can get one with a tub as well as a shower and toilet. In the US, many in the Southern and Western sections of the country sell models with air conditioning. For every model a motorhome awning is available, some are retractable, to keep the heat and weather out.  There are even special cleaners for the awnings and covers for your water tanks, gas tanks, etc.

Other campers campervans accessories can include a dishwasher, microwave,  stackable washer/dryer combos, even  a satellite dish.  There are circuit boards you can add to juice up all the extra appliances and generators just in case the batteries run low.  There are even unbreakable dishes you can purchase if you want to go more green and not use paper products. Sheets and other bedding items can be purchased as well.  Bike and kayak racks can be added on the back or on top.

Really, nowadays so many people are going RV, if you can think of an accessory for your camper van or caravan or motorhome, someone probably is selling it.  So don’t worry if you are shopping for used motorhomes for sale or even smaller camper vans for sale. If they do not have the exact accessories you need,  most companies keep a good inventory of accessories in stock. That way, if you purchase a more basic model as either new or used, you can always add the luxuries on later.

There is one major thing you need to consider – what it is you are basically looking for in an RV? New Motorhomes, caravans or campers, or even a used one , is a fairly large investment.  Just like searching for a house, you need to make sure it has what you are wanting as far as the “bones”.  The fancy stuff can be added. You would hate to buy hastily and then realize the one you are driving didn’t come with enough room to sleep your family of six, or the awning  you’d like so you can cook and eat outdoors the way you envisioned.  The most important thing may be this – calculating the amount of storage you need.  Figure the  average number of days you will be traveling most of the time you use the RV. Will the New Motorhome house all of your luggage, cookery items and extra recreational gear? If not,  look at other models.

New Motor Homes

Do not rush into buying a New Motorhomes or used motorhomes or campervans.  Look around, think about the type of traveling you want to do and the luxuries versus the essentials.  You may even rent one (hire, if you are a European). That way, you can rest assured when it comes time to purchase one you have made just the right choice. Then relax and enjoy the road.
